Sentimentango
The show Sentimentango was conceived according to a particular formula,
which unites the performed text to the music and the dance. Therefore we find
a two-hour performance of a sort of "history of the tango" which takes into
account the importance of words and gestures in this eternal and epic genre.
Sentimentango originated from the cooperation of artists who have been
interested for a long time in the search of new stylistic solutions on the base
of the historical material attentively studied.
The show usually involves eight people, but two additional ballet dancers, a
second performing voice and a double bass player may take part in it as well.
For the realization of the show Sentimentango we need a dance platform of at
least 4x8 meters, a piano, lights and, where necessary, the amplification.
